While you're practicing your eye contact, don't neglect to glance over that wonderful resume you've written that helped you to land that interview. The best resumes tell the story of you as a one-of-a-kind gem, highlighting those accomplishments that are unique to you. Do your self a favor and remind yourself of what those accomplishments are, so you will be more comfortable discussing them in the interview. If you need some guidance on perfecting your resume, I recommend that you read my posts about resume writing.
What you don't want to do is rehearse the verbiage of you resume, and awkwardly regurgitate word for word how you described yourself on paper. Interviewers can tell when a response is not authentic. Have confidence in the fact that you are a unique candidate with experience and skills that will add value.
This tip blend perfectly with my next tip that I will be writing about soon: practicing interview questions. Is this a tip that you have used in the past while preparing for an interview? Was it helpful? Your resume is a guide towards sound answers to potential questions. Until then, keep practicing!
