I would have never found the career services field if I was not miserable. Misery is a great motivator to get up and take charge of what is going wrong! I was utterly lost in a mental health career as I wrestled with realization that I wanted to do something different; guilt and wondering if I would ever find the right career.

One day, I decided that it was time to stop spiraling. I walked away from my job and spent months soul searching and applying for work with no success. Then I found a job coaching opportunity. With an arsenal of transferable skills, courage and a prayer, I went back to work as a Career Planner. And I was so happy that I didn't give up!

Almost 2 years later, I have helped many people from blue collar professionals to college students create resumes, prep for interviews and land jobs. This blog is the vehicle to expand my reach and help all those who need  some help navigating the competitive and exhausting beast that is job search.
